A downtown Roanoke tradition continues! Enjoy children’s activities & free family movie once a month during the summer! This year’s line up is: “Big Hero 6” (June 12), “Despicable Me 2” (July 10) and the new “Cinderella”(Aug. 14). Children’s games & activities start at 6PM, film starts at dusk.
Longwood Park Movie Nights
Market too far for you in Salem? Longed Park also hosts free, outdoor movies on Saturdays. This year’s schedule is “Dolphin Tale 2” (June 6), “Million Dollar Arm” (June 27), “Earth to Echo” (Aug. 22), and “Hotel Transylvania” (Oct. 3). Concessions will be available & the first 50 families will receive a free bag of popcorn.
Just can’t decide between swimming and movies? You don’t have to at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center’s weekly Flick-n-Float! The movies start at 6:30pm every Friday in June. Admission for Children (Ages 2-11): $2.00 Youth (Ages 12-17): $3.00 Adult: $5.00 Seniors (Ages 60+): $3.00
The newest theatre (and closest IMAX!) has speciality pricing every Tuesday this summer. Save a little cash Tuesdays when movies are $6 all day (IMAX $12.50), burgers and fries meals are $5, and medium popcorns cost $2.50.
The Summer Arts Film Festival is showing “To Kill a Mockingbird” for free on June 13 & June 17 at 3PM. See a classic movie on the big screen!
