The heat got you down and the last thing you feel like doing is slaving over a hot oven? Try out these sweet cool treats!


Frozen Yogurt Drops

$0.24 per serving

On a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper, dollop small yogurt drops on to the sheet, about 1/2 inch apart. Freeze for 3-4 hours. When serving, remove them from baking sheet & garnish with fresh fruit or jam. (You can also use the frozen yogurt drops in smoothies!)

Chocolate Covered Banana Bites

$0.65  per serving

Dice a peeled banana into small bite sized pieces. Use microwaveable candy coating or chocolate to coat outside of banana. Skewer with toothpicks or small popsicle sticks. Set in freezer for 2-3 hours, then enjoy!

Homemade Popsicles

$0.57 per serving.

Take the normal juice popsicles up a notch! Before setting the mold fill 1/2 way with finely diced fruit, finish filling up with a flavored seltzer water or juice.

Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

$1.15 per serving

In a small baking pan, place a single layer of 4 ice cream sandwiches, cover with caramel or chocolate sauce, then layer 4 more ice cream sandwiches on top. Continue layering until desired height (3-4 layers should do the trick!)  then coat entire cake with cool whip. (Optional: coat the cool whip with crushed Oreos or your favorite candy.) Set in freezer and allow to set overnight. Slice with a warm knife and serve immediately after cutting.

  Strawberry-Orange Smoothie $1.85/Serving  Serves 3 3 Cups Vanilla Yogurt 10 oz frozen Strawberries 2 tablespoons orange juice 1 tablespoon honey 1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
